Meet Darrell
Digital marketing expert with 15+ years of experience.
Darrell’s first experience with marketing was back in 2006, when he received an email from a stranger asking him to “advertise” on his blog. Although the amount was small in size, Darrell recalls being elated that someone wanted to pay him to share his opinion with the world – from that point forward he was hooked.
A few years later in 2012, he experimented with podcasting to coincide with another blog he created on the topic of Motivation and Personal Development. All while working a day job. Originally from the Midwest, he had the opportunity to work with Yelp in Scottsdale, AZ or accept a promotion at the Fortune 500 company he worked with for nearly a decade. He made the jump not knowing anyone in the Scottsdale or greater Phoenix, AZ area.
While still learning and developing skills at Yelp, tragedy struck and his mother passed away. He made the decision to move on from Yelp and decided to pursue assisting small businesses with digital space as a primary focus. In 2015, Carte Blanche Media was founded.
